What "Document Ready" Actually Checks
This tool checks the file type against what's normally accepted for KYC and the file size against commonly seen bank portal upload limits β all computed locally in your browser using plain JavaScript, with nothing ever sent to a server.
It does not verify the content of your documents (whether your PAN details are correct, whether your Aadhaar is genuine) β only whether the file itself is in good shape to upload. You're still responsible for checking the content is accurate and current.
Why KYC Documents Get Rejected
The most common reasons a KYC submission bounces back aren't about the document being wrong β they're about the file being wrong: blurry photos where numbers can't be read, files larger than the branch portal accepts, or a photo submitted where a proper scan was expected. Fixing these before you submit saves a second trip.
Common Mistakes
- Submitting a blurry phone photo of Aadhaar: If the 12-digit number isn't clearly readable when zoomed in, it will likely be rejected β retake it in good, even light.
- Forgetting the back of Aadhaar: The address is on the reverse side β many submissions only include the front.
- Using an old photograph: Banks generally expect a recent photo, not one that's several years old.
Expert Tips
- Check both sides of Aadhaar are legible: Front for photo and number, back for address β both matter.
- Keep a standing KYC folder: You'll be asked for the same documents again for other accounts, mutual funds, or demat accounts. Keep correctly-sized copies ready.
- Confirm with your specific bank: A few banks ask for one extra document for certain account types (NRE/NRO, minor accounts) β this checklist covers the standard individual-resident case.
